Privacy Policy

Mitr is operated by Izumi Proptech Private Limited (“Izumi Proptech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Mitr pilot service, how we use it, and your rights over it. The pilot is open to adults aged 18 and over who are primary decision-makers for their household.

1. Information we collect

Phone number. Required to identify your household and deliver messages via WhatsApp.

Household profile. Information you share during setup: family size, household members, dietary preferences, cuisine preferences, cooking habits, ingredients you prefer to avoid, and any food allergies, sensitivities, or medical dietary requirements you choose to tell us about.

Meal plans and feedback. The meal plans we generate for you, and any ratings or feedback you provide on those meals.

Cook and helper details.Your cook’s phone number and preferred language, used solely to send recipes via WhatsApp on your behalf.

2. How we use your information

  • Generate personalised daily meal plans for your household.
  • Send meal plans and recipe instructions to your cook via WhatsApp.
  • Improve plan quality using your feedback and meal ratings.
  • Operate and improve the Mitr pilot service.
  • Communicate important updates about the pilot to you.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on encrypted infrastructure. We keep only what is necessary to run the pilot service and do not retain data beyond what is described in Section 5.

4. Partners we work with

To provide the pilot service, we share limited data with the following trusted partners. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

AI meal planning. We use an AI service to generate your daily meal plans. Your household profile (cuisine, dietary preferences, family size) is shared with this partner to produce personalised suggestions. It is not used to identify you individually.

WhatsApp messaging.We work with an authorised WhatsApp Business partner to deliver messages to you and your cook. Your and your cook’s phone numbers are shared for this purpose only.

Voice messages. If voice recipes are enabled, recipe text is sent to a language-technology partner to generate audio. No personal profile data is included.

5. Data retention

We retain your household data for the duration of the pilot and for 90 days after it ends. After that period, your data is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 6.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

Stop receiving messages. Reply STOP to any Mitr WhatsApp message at any time. This stops all further messages immediately. Your household data is not automatically deleted by a STOP reply — if you also want your data removed, please contact us separately.

Delete your account. To have your data permanently deleted, contact us at hello@hellomitr.in. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of meaningful changes via WhatsApp before they take effect.
